Designing Tattoos
Tattoos are one of the most popular forms of magic in the clowders. Once a cat retires, they will journey to Oma's Grave where they gain the knowledge of how to bestow permanent marks on another cat. They will usually then give tattoos to any cat willing to pay a small fee, usually around 2 to 3 stobs. Though quality usually factors into the price greatly (noble tattoos are known to be quite expensive due to the detail in them).
When designing tattoos, it's is important to keep in mind the simplistic and tribal nature of clowder tattoos. They rarely depict specific concepts with much detail, tending to stray more towards the abstract since it is easier to draw.
Tattoos like this are extremely detailed and are more likely to be noble tattoos since they'd be so expensive to get.
Tattoos are allowed to be any color, and even have multiple colors. However, they are limited to a maximum of four colors per tattoo. There also may not be any gradient, nor may any colors touch each other.
Though tattoos cannot be wildly detailed, they can be extremely complex with abstract concepts similar to henna tattoos.
How To Give Your Cat A Tattoo
Just slap one on! You don't have to ask, just place one on your cat. If you're feeling unsure about your tattoo's validity, feel free to message a mod, however for the most part (with exception to noble tattoos), tattoos are wholly free to apply.
