fAMILIARS
Familiars are widely used throughout the clowders and are an arguably integral part of their society. Though familiars cannot attack, nor be attacked by other creatures they are useful for building houses, providing a useful alarm system, and being friends to their summoners.

Familiars are considered one of the few magics that do not require a spell to be said in order to summon them. One simply summons them by willpower alone. Most cats can only summon smaller familiars, like cicadas and crickets at first, then move onto bigger creatures like foxes and bears later on. Familiars have a psychic link to their summoners and can talk to them at any time. However, they cannot be heard or understood by any other cat.

Once summoned, a familiar will stay permanently unless un-summoned or their summoner dies.

FAMILIARS MAY NEVER BE DEPICTED HARMING OR BEING HARMED BY OTHER CREATURES.

ALL FAMILIARS, NO MATTER SPECIES, MUST BE DEPICTED WITH PURE WHITE EYES.
How To Get Familiars
In order to have a familiar, cats must be at least of child age to summon a tier one familiar. For a cat to summon a higher tier familiar, they must have summoned the lower tiers before. For example, if a cat would like to summon a tier 4 familiar, they have to have summoned tiers 1, 2 and 3 familiars before. Once a cat learns a tier, they may summon any familiar from that tier at any time. Though, if your cat switches familiars, you must update what familiars they have on their drawn application.
To obtain any familiar in a tier, you must draw the requirements for that tier. Then you must post them to the Familiar Prompts folder in the DeviantArt group!
